1. What do I need in order to rent a motorcycle or scooter?

To rent a vehicle, you need:

  • A valid ID or passport
  • A valid driving license (see below for details by vehicle type)
  • Minimum age of 21 for scooter 50cc, 125cc, 150cc, 160cc
  • Minimum age of 25 for motorcycles and ATVs 250cc and above
  • A credit or debit card for the security deposit
 
2. Can I rent an ATV?
 

Certainly! We offer ATVs for all types of drivers. You must have a category B driving license (car) or AM/A1/A2 (depending on the engine size).

 

3. What driving license do I need?

 
  • For scooters up to 50cc:
    AM license – minimum 1 year of holding the license, or
    b. Car license (category B) and must have held it for at least 6 years and be over 27 years old.
  • For scooters 125cc:
    A1 license – minimum 1 year of holding the license, or
    b. Car license (category B) with the code “121” on the license – minimum 6 years holding the license and over 27 years old, or
    c. Car license (category B) – minimum 4 years holding it and an AM license – minimum 4 years holding it and over 27 years old.
  • For larger motorcycles: A2 or A license – minimum 2 years of holding the license
  • For ATVs: At least a category B license – minimum 2 years of holding the license
 

To rent any vehicle, you need to present the original Driving License and your ID/Passport (not in digital form, such as from Gov.gr Wallet apps).

 

4. What is included in the basic equipment?

 

With every rental, the following are included:

  • Free helmet for both the rider and passenger.
  • Option to add a second rider at no additional charge.
  • Basic third-party liability insurance.
  • Roadside assistance in case of mechanical failure.
  • Specialized staff available for full technical support for motorcycles, scooters, and ATVs.
  • Unlimited kilometers.
  • Luggage rack for additional storage.
 
 
5. What insurance coverage do I have during the rental?
 

All rentals include basic third-party liability insurance:

  • Bodily injury to third parties up to €1,300,000
  • Property damage to third parties up to €1,300,000
 
 
6. Vehicle pickup and return – How does it work?
 

You pick up and return the vehicle at our store, located in front of the port. We also offer delivery/pickup at your hotel (within Tinos) upon arrangement, with an additional charge.

 

7. Can a second person drive the vehicle?

 

Yes, a second person can drive the vehicle at no additional charge, as long as they are registered during the reservation and meet the necessary requirements and documents.

 

8. Can I travel outside the island with the vehicle?

 

No, the use of the vehicles is only permitted within Tinos. Taking the vehicles outside the island is strictly prohibited.

 

9.What is the payment and booking policy?

 

To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit of the total rental amount is required. The remaining balance is paid upon vehicle pickup by card (debit or credit), cash, or bank transfer.

 

10. Do you provide roadside assistance?

 

Yes! Free roadside assistance is provided throughout Tinos.

 

11. Can I cancel my reservation and get a refund?

 

Yes! Depending on when you cancel, you are eligible for a refund as follows:

  • Cancel up to 7 days in advance: Full refund
  • 3–6 days before: 50% refund
  • Less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup: No refund
 
 
12. If I return the vehicle early, do I get a refund?
 

No, early returns do not qualify for a refund.

 

13. Who is responsible for fines?

 

The renter is responsible for any fines that may occur during the rental period.

 

14. What happens in case of damage or theft of the vehicle?

 

In case of damage or theft (partial or total) of the vehicle during the rental period, the renter and authorized drivers are responsible for covering all related expenses.

15. Is there a minimum or maximum rental duration?

 

The minimum rental duration is 1 day (24 hours), and there is no maximum rental period.

 

16. Are there any restrictions on vehicle usage?

 

Yes, the following are prohibited:

  • Off-road driving (such as on beaches or rough paths)
  • Reckless or dangerous driving
  • Allowing unregistered individuals to drive the vehicle
  • Subletting to third parties
  • Transporting passengers or goods for a fee
  • Towing cars or other objects
  • Participation in speed races
 
 
17. What happens if I am late returning the vehicle?
 

A delay of more than 30 minutes without prior notice will incur a charge. If you expect a delay, please inform us in advance.

 

18. Who pays for the fuel?

 

The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was handed over. If not, there will be a charge.

 

19. Are there restricted traffic areas?

 

Yes, mainly in the town (Chora) and some villages. We will inform you of these areas during pickup.

 

20. What happens if I lose the keys or documents of the vehicle?

 

There is an additional charge for replacing lost keys or documents. Please contact us immediately for assistance.

 

21. Can I rent a vehicle if I have a non-EU license?

 

Yes, but special attention is needed.

If your license is from outside the EU, the following apply:

  • It must be in Latin characters (e.g., from the USA, Canada, Australia, etc.)
  • It must be an international license or accompanied by an International Driving Permit (IDP) — especially if the country does not have a mutual recognition agreement with Greece.
 

If there is no translation or IDP, rental is not allowed according to the law.

Tip: If you’re coming from a country like the USA or Canada, it’s a good idea to get an International Driving Permit before your trip.
